Thanks for your ideas, Kal!
Over the past two months, more than 1000 locals, business owners, visitors and investors told us how they’d like to see our city centre transform.
We’re busy preparing a new vision and plan for the city centre’s future, which you’ll be invited to provide feedback on in July to make sure we’re heading down the right track. Once we’ve heard from you, we’ll adapt our proposals and develop detailed plans and visuals to illustrate how we can all bring life back to our main streets and public spaces.
Thanks again for all your energy, passion and enthusiasm for bringing new life to our city centre!
Engagement HQ Now Open
The Engagement HQ for the Kal City Centre Project has opened in the Customer Service Centre located in the Markets Arcade Building in Hannan Street. Take the time to stop in and visit the team to hear about the project and to share your ideas on the future potential for the area. Engagement HQ is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
You can also catch us out and about visiting your favourite events across the City during the month of April. You can’t miss us!
City Centre Transformation Starts with Youth
The students from John Paul College were out and about in Hannan Street last week filming material for the project. CEO John Walker said “We want to embrace the young people of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and involve them in this exciting journey towards transformation. The students will be asking people to share what they love about the Kalgoorlie City Centre, and what ideas they have for the future potential for the area, and the end product will feature on the project website and will be used throughout the engagement process throughout April and as the project continues.
